Samson Ayuba holds a Bsc and MSc degree in Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and University of Jos respectively, he was trained in Implementation Research with a focus on infectious diseases of poverty (IDP) by WHO/TDR. He was a consulting field officer for Netherlands Leprosy Relief during the National Disability Survey and Selfcare evaluation project; he was part of the consulting team that evaluated the Rural eye Care Services in Nigeria and Community Based Rehabilitation Projects under the Christian Blind Mission, Nigeria; he was a master trainer and evaluator for Facility Health Care Committee under Partnership for Transformation of Health System 2 (PATHS 2).
Samson joined the COUNTDOWN project as a research assistant during the situational analysis in Kaduna, he served in the same capacity during the study on Enhancing Community Engagement Package for Preventive Chemotherapy Neglected Tropical Diseases(PC-NTDs) in Kaduna and he currently works for Sightsavers as the Field Coordinator in Kaduna for the Scale up of ‘bottom up’ Participatory plan approach for Mass Administration of Medicine in Nigeria.
