COUNTDOWN through its implementation research has produced some evidence-based policy briefs that outlines research findings and potential policy and practice changes for our partner countries. These briefs contain messages that address key issues that policymakers within our partner countries are navigating. They are timely and provide a wide spectrum of information, with key recommendations where policy interest exists. As much as our policy recommendations serve to inform, we can hope it influences a change in policy to further the agenda of an integrated health systems approach in tackling Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). 

Our first series of briefs are here from the Nigeria Situational Analysis addressing community engagement, human resource constraints affecting frontline health workers and expanding the national coordination platform to improve partner coordination at the local levels. We have extended our collaboration by writing a comprehensive brief on WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) in NTDs with our partners from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS).
