Isaac Owusu-Frimpong is a Research Assistant at the Biomedical and Public Health Research Unit of Council for Scientific and Industrial Research – Water Research Institute located in Accra, Ghana. He is undertaking his postgraduate studies in Clinical Microbiology at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
His research expertise is to employ new protocols in molecular parasitology, studies in neglected tropical diseases such as Schistosomiasis, Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis and Lymphatic Filariasis. He is also responsible for providing effective assistance to all research done in the molecular biology laboratory in accordance with all standard operating procedures, and the health and safety guidelines.
He is currently a member of the Convention of Biomedical Research in Ghana and works on the COUNTDOWN project as a research assistant.
