Queenstar Quarshie Dedei

Queenstar  Quarshie Dedei is a Biomedical Research Assistant at the Water Research Institute, one of the 13 institutes of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research 9CSIR). She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She is currently working on NTDs under the COUNTDOWN Ghana Project.

She has excellent expertise in NTD fieldwork as well as molecular biology techniques. Queenstar is involved in the some epidemiological, parasitological and entomological aspects of Lymphatic Filariasis, Onchocerciasis and Schistosomiasis. She also undertakes molecular analysis in Lymphatic Filariasis and Onchocerciasis. She acquired training in haematology, serology and microbiology at Manna and Lekma Hospitals and gained expertise in Antenatal Laboratory Analysis.

Queenstar has data management experience and has been involved in helping both undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research works.
